WHAT IS EPS?

Expanded Polystyrene foam is manufactured from the by products, or left overs from the oil refining process. Expanded Polystyrene is a lightweight, rigid and tough, closed-cell foam with a normal density range from 1.0 lb to 2.0 lbs. EPS is available in several compressive strengths to withstand load and back-fill forces. This closed-cell structure provides minimal water absorption and low vapor permeance.
